In Monona County—ranked the unhealthiest county in Iowa—many kids arrive after school hungry, stressed, or without a safe place to go. We meet that need with a warm welcome, a healthy snack, and a hands-on skill that teaches patience, problem-solving, confidence, and creativity.

Quilting is more than a hobby—it’s a life skill. Every finished quilt becomes a security item that keeps a child warm, grounded, and proud of themselves.
